the list is def missing yes to cucumbers. has pretty decent ingredients & is thick, rich & has great slip. makes my hair nice & soft as well.

No, my favorites didn't make it. I love Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, and Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine (no, I didn't boycott Loreal). They are slippery and very moisturizing. My hair feels like heaven afterwards!

I haven't tried anything on that list…but that's not strange because I'm kinda laisse faire, prehaps too laisse faire, about my head. I'm going to try something on that list out though! I use Head & Shoulders :o and Pantene Relaxed and Natural oil moisturiser.

The only one I have ever used is YES to Carrots. At first I didn't want to try it b/c I have been doing the "no cones" thing. The cone is way at the bottom of the list, I only saw good reviews for it, and the day I found it it was on sale at Walgreen's(under $4). So, I had to try it.

It is a really good conditioner.
In fact I used it this morning for a wash and go. It leaves my hair feeling very soft, not coated. The biggest drawback is definitely the smell. I was expecting it to smell more like fresh carrots but it smells artificial, not like carrots at all.

    @ Bri… I hear Pantene Relaxed & Natural is good…

Pantene hydrating curls is the only drugstore conditioner i liked, but I did pick up the Lorealvive in the yellow bottle yesterday…

Being that I am a recovering product junkie the list was a little overwhelming.

I hadn't bought anything on that list but once I started reading it, I saw the L’Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Moisturizing Conditioner on sale and decided to give it a try. I like this stuff a ALOT. So this might be entering in my list of staples. I look forward to trying more of these items.

    I loved this post!!!

no mine didn't. what classified as drugstore, because some of those i thought were only at stores like whole foods? (example, Jason)

Btw, after all her experimenting, what does Rachel use now?! just curious

thank you though for all this information (your time, dedication), its nice to know its here for future use if/when i need to change things up or share the information with other people!

Mine didn't I love HE Hello Hydration and Totally Twisted. I dont think my hair is ultra sensitive to cones. But these two and my suave naturals and Vo5 are definately my product staples.

My favorite wasn't on the list either: HE Hello Hydration. Aussie Moist Conditioner is pretty good too.

I too was surprised that Hello Hydration didn't make it…I've been using it for at least the last 2 years with great success. I tried one of the JASONs a long time ago and didn't really like it. This series is tempting me to try a JASON again though. Thanks to you and Rachel!

I've tried the shea butter shampoo by Organix, and suprisingly my hair didn't agree with it. It left my hair feeling overwhelmingly dry. The conditioner on the other hand is amazing..I love it…I use it to no poo. I want to try their coconut one as well.

Aww. . . none of my favorites made it on the list. I like using Pantene's Hydrating curls shampoo and conditioner. My top fave product is Bantu's Leave-in Conditioner. It makes my hair spiral when added right after a hot shower. I also love to use Olive Oil Lotion. It make my hair feel so soft and bouncy.

I'm dismayed that several L'Oreal products made the cut, especially in light of accusations of racial discrimination where employment with L'Oreal is concerned. If people don't know, the high court of France fined L'Oreal for racial discrimination against Black, Asian, and Arab women. I don't think Black women should be encouraged to use their products. . .no matter how well they may work.

hi Alaina – thanks for the heads up! i may return my purchase and exchange it for the Organix stuff. Also, keep in mind Loreal is a MEGA company and may own other brands that still function separately from the parent.. so read the fine print..

    http://www.carefair.com/html/LOreal_Subsidiary_Fined_for_Racial_Discrimination_2641.html

on a side note, they do test on animals, if that is an issue for you..

    /search_company.aspx?Com_Id=844&Donottest=-1&Product=0&Dotest=3

they also own Kiehls and the Body Shop.. so you may have to do an upheaval if you want to abandon Loreal– seems they are everywhere :*

    just something to chew on..

No my favorites (V05 Moisture Milks and V05 Silk Expressions) didn't make the cut either. My hair actually despises the Organix conditioner line, but as is always said, what works for one may not work for another. I've used YES Cucumber and think it's okay … maybe I'll consider YES Carrots in the future. Thanks for posting these reviews.

She totally missed Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle… that's my sh*t it's like the best drugstore conditioner I've tried. I also have had good results with all of Herbal Essence's conditioners.

I went out and got some of the J/A/S/O/N conditioner (the one with biotin in it) and I LOVE it! Thanks so much for the tip. I let it sit in my hair for about 5 minutes and when I went to wash it out my hands just slide through my hair. I mean, I hadn't even detangled yet (I usually comb through with a wide-toothed comb and conditioner), but my fingers and this conditioner did the trick. I am hooked!

    Thanks for the review Rachel!!
