BGLH Move-In Day Celebration! Day 6

After making the switch to the new site last Wednesday we’re finally settled in our new home. We’ve given everyone a few days to get acclimated, and now we want you to spread the word about BGLH’s new digs!

I have proclaimed today — October 26, 2009 — BGLH Move-In Day, and we want you to do one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine or ALL TEN of the following things:

1. Sport the BGLH badge! Show your BGLH pride by posting our badge on your own website/blog. You have a choice of white or pink. Just copy and paste the embed code into your website.

2. Become a follower on the new site! The majority (about 1,300) of you are still following the old site. Switch your membership to www.bglhonline.com so you can keep up with all we’re doing.

3. Follow us on Twitter and then tweet about us! You can find us at www.twitter.com/bglhonline. Follow us, then tweet about the new site to your friends.

4. Facebook us! Write a note, put our new site address in your status, send a link to your friends, mention us on your favorite group. Put that Facebook addiction to work for BGLH.

5. Tell a friend! That chick at the office who’s on the fence about going natural, your natural friend who’s always looking for styles — do them a favor and send them our link. You know they’ll love it!

6. Gear up for Now and Then! Participate in this new BGLH tradition by submitting a photo of yourself before and after you went natural. The photos will run on Sunday, the first of the month. Start rummaging through your photos and tell your friends and co-workers that you’ll be featured on BGLH!

7. Subscribe to the BGLH RSS feed! Another way to keep up with our steady flow of posts. Instructions for subscribing are at the top of the sidebar.

8. Target a skeptical male! That co-worker who thinks natural can’t be cute. That uncle who loves himself a relaxed head. Pull up our site and show them that natural hair is beautiful!

9. No seriously, switch over from the old site… Just gonna reiterate number 2.

10. Sport a BGLH T-shirt! You can find it in our shop tab. Rep BGLH with an original design by our awesome graphic designer, Shari.

Alright ladies (and gents) get to work and report back on your progress :) Extra kudos to those of you who manage to do all ten today!

    OHH MYY GOD, this new website looks soooo AMAZING. It’s vibrant, it’s hip, it’s Urban, it’s dope, it’s da truth and it’s just EVERYTHING natural hair is.
    I absolutely love it and I commend ALL those involved for making BGLH what it is. It is a great innovation with so much positivity.
    I am proud to call myself, not only a Black Natural, but part of the BGLH and it’s movement!
