The move from blackgirllonghair.blogspot.com to bglhonline.com has been a mostly smooth process, but there have been a few snags, which I’m happy to say have been resolved (mostly)!

1) Avatars are now working in the Forums, so you can now upload them with no problems. And if you uploaded your pic already, it should appear now.

2) We’ve had some issues with a few folks who have used the contact form to communicate with us. Our web host blocks certain contact form features and we received messages that we were unable to respond to because your contact info was blocked. WE WERE NOT IGNORING YOU!!! I have taken the contact form down while we resolve the issue with our host. In the meantime, you can email us at the addresses provided on the page. We apologize for any inconvenience!

3) If you want to sign up for RSS feeds for individual entries or comments, follow these directions:

• 1. In the sidebar on the right hand of the page, scroll down to the header that says “META”
• 2. Under “META”, click “Register”
• 3. Click on “Entries RSS” or “Comments RSS” and go from there

1. In the sidebar on the right hand of the page, scroll down to the header that says “META”.
2. Under “META”, click “Register”
3. A WordPress admin page will appear. Create a username and enter your email address and answer the simple math question.

4. A password will be emailed to you.
5. You can login to WordPress at http://bglhonline.com/wp-admin OR you can go to http://bglhonline.com, scroll down to “META” and click “Login”.
6. After you’re logged in, click on the “Forum” tab on http://bglhonline.com.
7. You should be taken to the Forum and can begin posting!

I’m pretty sure the Forums are working correctly now. Give it a try. If you’re still having issues, leave a comment and we’ll get to the bottom of it.

***Update***

You asked, we listened! There is now a GoogleFriendConnect/Followers Widget in the sidebar on the right side of the page. You have to rejoin the site as we couldn’t import everyone over from Blogger. Also we are working out some glitches with the forum. We should have it figured out soon. Will keep you updated!

It’s moving day and we’re settling into our new home at http://bglhonline.com! We will continue to update http://blackgirllonghair.blogspot.com for another week or so, while also updating the new site. So make yourselves comfortable A lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into the site design and functionality and we hope you enjoy our new digs!
